Antwerp Six Tailoring in Counterpoint

Founded by Belgian third-generation tailor Dries Van Noten, the Antwerp house began with a first menswear collection in 1986 after his studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Belgium. Its identity grew from the Antwerp Six moment, when Belgian designers carried an independent proposition to London and Paris. The house is known for ready-to-wear that sets relaxed tailoring against color, floral prints, jacquard, brocade and embroidery, creating contradictory-yet-harmonious clothes built for wear.
