Introduced in 1998 within the Reggio Emilia company Achille Maramotti founded in 1951, 'S Max Mara draws on a family tailoring lineage traced through Marina Rinaldi and Giulia Fontanesi Maramotti. It is the house's more relaxed, day-facing expression of Italian ready-to-wear, built around coats that hold authority without stiffness. Wrap, robe, short belted, and cocooning shapes recur in virgin wool or alpaca with clean lapels, softened sleeves, and visible horn-button or belt details.
