Five Suits That Rewrote the Uniform

Founded in 2001 from a West Village made-to-measure shop with five suits, Thom Browne built a New York house on the proposition that uniform can be radical. It is known for recasting classic American tailoring through shortened jackets, cropped hems, high armholes, backstraps, and inventive proportions. School Uniform, office dress, Black Tie, sport, and ceremony are all reframed with precise tailoring and theatrical runway narratives. The signature 4-Bar stripe on the left sleeve and tricolor grosgrain tab make that discipline immediately legible.
