Rick Owens founded his label in Los Angeles in 1994 after leaving Porterville, dropping out of art school and learning pattern-making. With Michèle Lamy as business and life partner, the house is Californian in origin, Parisian in presentation, and tied to Concordia sulla Secchia, where collections are designed and crafted.
