Paris-founded, Maison Margiela reframed luxury through conceptual design that exposes what fashion usually conceals, from seams and linings to cut lines and construction marks. The house is known for codes rather than overt logos, including Four Stitches, Numeric coding, Bianchetto, Anonymity of the lining, and Décortiqué.
