Fondata dal sarto belga di terza generazione Dries Van Noten, la maison di Anversa ha preso avvio con una prima collezione menswear nel 1986, dopo i suoi studi alla Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Belgio. La sua identità è cresciuta dal momento Antwerp Six, quando i designer belgi portarono a Londra e Parigi una proposta indipendente. La maison è nota per il ready-to-wear che contrappone una sartoria rilassata a colori, stampe floreali, jacquard, broccato e ricami, creando capi al tempo stesso contraddittori e armoniosi, pensati per essere indossati.
