Rabanne began as a Paris house of provocation, defined by a 1966 manifesto of Rhodoid lamellae and disks joined by metal rings. Its design language still turns assemblage, iconic mesh, pastilles, strass, and metallic shine into body-aware glamour between couture savoir-faire and contemporary life. Under Julien Dossena, the vocabulary has expanded beyond chainmail and the 1969 bag, while the Iconic 1969 Bag preserves its hand-assembled discs linked by rings.
